Today I had the pleasure of talking with Alabama Attorney Denise Evans, Tax Liens Expert, real estate investor/broker/educator, and a remarkable author of nationally publicized real estate topics. In this episode, Denise discusses about tax liens, certificates, deeds and quieting titles. By the end of this episode, you will learn about how and where to find properties, what kind of other liens are on the properties, and how to deal with possession and redemption issues. Enjoy!
Denise: “Even though you have a deed to the property now and the tax success owner is now the former owner. While you have a tax certificate, he’s still the owner. Once you have the tax deed, he’s the former owner. That person might still have redemption rights, but you have more options because you have the deed it’s easier to get Casualty Insurance for example.”
