JUMP STRAIGHT TO AMAZON.COM:
Our house is an Amazon house.
SUBSCRIBE & SAVE – parents! Before I get into why the Helms House is an Amazon House, I want to draw your attention to Amazon’s Subscribe and Save. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO A PRIME MEMBER to enjoy the benefits of Subscribe & Save. If you want to save money, and more importantly time, grab 4 of your essential items and place them on Amazon Subscribe and Save. For us, it’s diapers (in 2 different sizes, wipes, and K-cups for the mojo gojo coffee). We buy these every month anyway, now, they are just delivered to our front door, cheaper than what we could go to the store and buy them. We stay stocked o’plenty for when our kids have those days of blow outs and don’t want to rush into to the store to grab more because now the whole family is sick. BEST PART…YOU DO NOT HAVE TO A PRIME MEMBER to enjoy the benefits of Subscribe & Save! Check it out here and then once you’re setup, come back to learn how we’re using Amazon to make our house efficient, entertaining and operationally affordable.
Now, onto the story….it’s true. Our house is an Amazon house. And no, I’m not talking about the sounds the monkeys make, funny how my wife keeps referring to them as our kids. Nor the sound of the Lion roaring in frustration because of all the monkey noise (yes, I’m the lion). What I’m talking about is how much easier Amazon has made our lives. We, the Helms Family are subscribes to Amazon Prime which not only gives us FREE one-day and FREE two-day shipping on almost everything we order from Amazon (about the only thing we don’t order through Amazon is our groceries and those speciality items that I can sometimes find at Lowe’s for the remodel job) but being an Amazon Prime member gives our kids and my wife and I access to Amazon Video which is their streaming video service where we can watch our monkeys’ favorite shows over and over, and over again.
And then we have Amazon Music for those dance parties our kids want to have in the living room floor. The last and probably most important piece that we subscribe to is Audible (click this link to get 2 free audio books when you sign up for a trial). I’m not a big reader, I can consume way more material in a more comprehensive way just by listening and multi-tasking while listening (like cleaning the pool, going for a walk, doing some chores around the house or when I used to drive to the office every day). For those of you who like to transpose words from your hands through your eyes, checkout the Unlimited Amazon Kindle.
